The first Emerald Sale of 2018 had approximately 1900 head yarded which due to weather conditions saw the market decline after last year’s sale prices.
Weaner steers this week were cheaper seeing Steers under 200kgs top at 368c, Steers 200-280kgs averaged 312c, Feeder Steers 400-500kgs topped at 291c sitting Firm and Bullocks over 550kgs topped 264c averaging 262c.
Weaner Heifers also Cheaper seeing Heifers under 200kgs 275c, Feeder Heifers sitting Firm and Heavy Heifers over 400kgs topping 257c.
Lighter Cows this week topping 174c, Fat prices sat firm Cows 400-450kgs topping at 190c and Cows over 520kgs topping 221c averaging 213c.
Mickey bulls topped 339c averaging 324c.
A Pen of 24 X 24 Brahman X Cows & Calves topped at $1360.
