A total yarding of 511 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on Thursday.
Steers over 550kg sold to 270c/kg and averaged 261c/kg, while steers in the 400-550kg sold to 251c/kg, averaging 251c/kg.
Heifers over 450kg made to 259c/kg and averaged 251c/kg, heifers in the 350-450kg sold to 251c/kg, averaging 249c/kg.
Cows over 500kg peaked at 249c/kg and averaged 232c/kg, while cows in the 400-500kg class topped at 240c/kg and averaged 211c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold to 140c/kg and averaged 140c/kg.
Bulls over 600kg earned to 257c/kg and averaged 231c/kg.
