A total yarding of 398 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on Thursday.
Steers over 550kg sold to 261c/kg and averaged 249c/kg, while steers in the 400-550kg sold to 258c/kg, averaging 238c/kg.
Heifers over 450kg made to 240c/kg and averaged 221c/kg, heifers in the 350-450kg sold to 217c/kg, averaging 168c/kg.
Cows over 500kg peaked at 237c/kg and averaged 198c/kg, while cows in the 400-500kg class topped at 189c/kg and averaged 163c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold to 130c/kg and averaged 88c/kg.
Bulls over 600kg earned to 240c/kg and averaged 215c/kg.
