Agents at Warwick penned 878 lambs and 601 grown sheep. Young lambs to suit the restocker were in short supply and sold to rates similar to last week. The return of a southern buyer increased prices for all trade and heavy lambs from $6 to $21/head with the mutton also selling to improved prices. Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $74 to $116/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to the butcher trade sold from $119 to $146/head. Heavy suckers lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $215 to $221/head. Older lambs in the 18-20kg range to butchers sold from $149 to $174/head. Lambs suited to the wholesale meat trade sold from $187 to $248/head. Lambs to processors sold from $225 to $260 with the best heavy lambs at $332/head. Hoggets to processors sold from $154 to $229/head. Merino ewes to restockers sold to $90/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $132 to $271/head. Wethers to processors sold from $121 to $260/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $180 to $218/head. Rams to processors sold from $130 to $145/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $220/unit.
