  • Yarding Numbers: 3,473
  • Location: Charters Towers
  • Date: June 27, 2025

Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 3,473 cattle. Store Cattle consisted of 2,304 Steers, 1,081 Heifers and 69 Cows & Calves.

The cattle yarded comprised of a fair spread in weights, and a mixture of type and quality. The panel of buyers present operated across this range, with the bulk of cattle selling to good competition, and rates – quality dependent – similar to the run of previous Friday store sales. Lesser quality and plainer types continue to sell to lackluster interest.

The yarding was drawn from Normanton, Burketown, Mt Surprise, Einasleigh, Chillagoe, Mt Isa, Hughenden, Pentland along with coastal and local areas.
