DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 12TH JANUARY 2022

The first sale of 2022 at Dalby received a total yarding of 1766 hd. The export market saw heavy cows and bulls selling to a slightly softer trend, with the best of the cows reaching a top of 383c/kg, and the best of the bulls reaching 372c/kg. Bullocks have remained on par with the pre Christmas sale topping at 490c/kg. The feeder market received strong support, with feeder steers topping at 680c/kg and the heifers topping at 598c/kg. The weaner market followed the same trend with lightweight weaner steers topping at 906c/kg, with the weaner heifers being no different to top at
748c/kg. PTIC cows with calves sold well in the open auction to top at $4220/unit.
