GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Combined agents at Gracemere this week yarded a total of 4537 head consisting of 2269 steers, 1605 heifers, 423 cows, 41 cows & calves, & 195 mickeys. Gracemere saw an increased yarding due to no sale being conducted last week. Weaner steers sold for an average of 322c/kg with a top price of 420c/kg. Feeder steers averaged 326c/kg to top out at 370c/kg. Weaner heifers sold for an average of 248c/kg with a top price of 310c/kg. Feeder heifers averaged 292c/kg and reached a top price of 310c/kg. The cow market averaged 253c/kg with a top price of 294c/kg. Cows and calves averaged $1231 per unit and bulls averaged 248c/kg.
