GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 27TH NOVEMBER 2024
Combined agents at Gracemere this week yarded a total of 3513 consisting of 1759 steers, 1089 heifers, 411 cows, 119 cows & calves, 85 mickeys, & 28 bulls. A good size yarding of cattle here this week, with good competition from buyers on most categories. Overall, the market was about 10 cents softer than last weeks sale. Weaner steers averaged 343c/kg with the best pen making it up to 438c/kg, on par with last weeks numbers. Feeder steers sold to an average of 323c/kg and made it up to 384c/kg, about 20 cents softer than last week. Weaner heifers averaged 257c/kg and reached up to 312c/kg for the best pen. Feeder heifers sold for an average of 305c/kg with the best pen making it up to 346c/kg. The cow market here averaged 254c/kg with the top end of them making 312c/kg.
