GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Combined agents at Gracemere this week yarded a total of 2202 head consisting of 745 steers, 876 heifers, 391 cows, 22 cows & calves, 19 bulls, & 149 mickeys. The market this week at Gracemere held firm with a good quality yarding of cattle and a full buyer’s panel present. Weaner steers averaged 307c/kg & topped out at 414c/kg. Feeder steers averaged 328c/kg and reached a top price of 388c/kg. Weaner heifers averaged 229c/kg with a top price of 282c/kg. Feeder heifers averaged 284c/kg & topped out at 306c/kg. Cows sold for an average of 252c/kg with a top price of 296c/kg. Cows & calves topped out at just over $1500 per unit, & the bull market held firm.
