Murgon Agents yarded 680 for Tuesday the 12th of November. The market improved for most descriptions depending on quality and finish. Heavy Bulls topped at $2.89 per kilogram and $2850.00. Heavy Cows over 500 kg sold to a top of $2.97 per kilogram and $1860.00 averaging $2.82 cents per kilo, a 20 cent average increase from the last sale. Cows 400 to 500 kg sold to $2.80 per kilogram for $1330.00. Cows up to 400 kg topped at $2.30 c/kg & $890.00. Export heifers sold to $3.38 per kilogram for $1525.00. Cattle were sent from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Durong, Nanango, Kingaroy, Gympie, Kilkivan & locally.
Simbrah steers ex Nanango sold to $3.56 c/kg for $1670.00. Angus cross steers 408 kg from Boondooma sold for $1420.00 at $3.48 c/kg. 346 kg Charolais cross steers from Nanango sold to $3.86 c/kg returning $1337.00. Charolais cross steers from Tansey, 350 kg sold for $3.79 c/kg to return $1330.00. 337 kg steers from Hivesville sold for $1260.00 at $3.74 c/kg. 300 kg Charbray steers from Manyung sold to $1218.00 at $4.07 c/kg. Charolais cross steers from Nanango sold to $4.00 c/kg & $1130.00. Santa steers 311 kg from Gayndah sold for $3.92 c/kg for $1220.00. Local Santa cross weaner steers sold for $3.84 c/kg and $1210.00. 295 kg Brangus steers from Hivesville sold for $1130.00 at $3.82 c/kg. Santa weaner steers from Crownthorpe sold for $4.03 c/kg and $1040.00. Droughtmaster weaner steers from Goomeri also sold to $4.03 c/kg and $940.00. Santa weaner steers from Gayndah sold to $3.92 c/kg and $940.00.
Charolais cross heifers from Nanango, 319 kg sold for $930.00 at $2.95 c/kg. Santa cross heifers from Boondooma sold for $2.80 c/kg returning $830.00. Local Braford cross heifers 305 kg sold for $830.00 at $2.70 c/kg. Droughtmaster weaner heifers from Cushnie sold for $2.90 c/kg and $630.00. Droughtmaster weaner heifers from Gayndah sold to $680.00 at $2.84 c/kg. Droughtmaster Cows & calves from Gympie sold to $1600.00.
