WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH JUNE 2025
Total Yarding: 1,973 (-266) | Sheep Yarding: 519 (-171) | Lamb Yarding: 1,454 (-95)
The supply of stock at Warwick eased slightly to 1,454 lambs and 519 grown sheep. The quality and finish on the trade and heavy lambs were not up to last week’s standard which resulted in cheaper prices. However, young lambs and light weight lambs to restockers improved by $20 to $30/head. The mutton sold to dearer trends for the heavy lines, with the light weight lines to processors easing in price.
Young lambs under 12kg to restockers sold from $58 to $93/head. Young lambs in the 12-18kg range to restockers sold from $98 to $146/head. Young lambs in the 18-20kg range to the local butcher trade sold from $131 to $168/head. Light weight older lambs to restockers sold from $82 to $105/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg range to the butcher trade sold from $145 to $168/head. Lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $158 to $214/head. Medium and heavy weight lambs to processors sold from $180 to $259/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $143 to $190/head. Merino ewes to restockers sold from $51 to $97/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $104 to $170/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $146 to $210/head. Rams to processors sold from $86 to $125/head.
