WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Total Yarding: 2681 (+347) | Sheep Yarding: 300 (-595) | Lamb Yarding: 2381 (+942)
Warwick sheep sale yielded 2381 lambs and 300 grown sheep a healthy increase of 1707 head. Quality was mixed. Heavy lambs offered more weight than last day but trends were much cheaper for those categories. Conversely light Dorper lambs sold to dearer trends to the paddock.
Light restocker Dorpers dearer $28 to $120/head heavier drafts $91 to $128/head. Trade Dorpers up $6/head however the heavy Dorper drafts slipped $9/head $165 to $187/head with trade cross breds losing $18/head $150 to $166/head. Heavy lambs were back $22/head with lambs in excess of 30kgs cwt selling to $200/head. Ram lambs to $92/head. Heavy crossbred hoggets were slightly dearer selling to $131/head.
Medium Merino ewes to $6/head dearer heavy ewes losing $6/head $65 to $131/head.
