WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER 2024
Total Yarding: 1,774 (-356) | Sheep Yarding: 463 (-337) | Lamb Yarding: 1,311 (-19)
The supply of stock reduced by 356 head to 1,774 sheep and lambs at Warwick. The regular buying panel attended and operated on the good quality penning of new season and older lambs with prices remaining close to last weeks improved rates. The mutton to processors sold to dearer trends.
Light weight young lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from$85 to $88 with those over 16kg at $80 to $102/head. New season young lambs in the 18-20kg range to processors sold from $142 to $144 with those over 20kg at $169 to $194/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg range to feed sold from $115 to $140/head. Light weight trade lambs to the wholesale meat market sold from $140 to $173. Trade weight lambs sold from $190 to $212 with heavy weight lambs to processors at $240/head.
Light weight hoggets to restockers sold from $87 to $95/head. Heavy hoggets to processors sold from $104 to $160/head. Heavy dorper ewes sold from $83 to $105 with the crossbred ewes at $83 to $120/head. Wethers to processors sold from $84 to $100/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $110 to $140/head. A line of merino rams with skin sold to restockers at $106 with crossbred and dorper rams to processors at $108 to $126/head.
