Warwick agents penned 2,070 sheep and lambs an increase of 266 head. One processor was absent from the buying panel resulting in the older heavy lambs and mutton selling to cheaper trends however new season trade lambs sold to strong prices as did the lambs to restockers

Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from$34 to $87/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $50 to $128 with those to feeder operators at $115 to $130/head. New season lambs in the 20-22kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $165 to $173 with a top of $188/head. 18kg older lambs to butchers sold from$134 to $150/head. Ideal trade weight lambs to processors sold from $144 to $196 with the heavy lambs at $208 to $238/head.

Increased numbers of hoggets presented and sold to processors from $60 to $150/head. Light weight ewes to processors sold from $20 to $38 with those to restockers at $24 to $56/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $54 to $112/head. Ram lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $82 to $150/head. Rams to processors sold from $50 to $70/head.
