“Ronlow Park” is a well grassed desert uplands breeder block. Located 250 kilometers North East of Barcaldine, 260 kilometers South West of Charters Towers and 280 kilometers North West of Clermont. Services to the property include mail weekly and land line and internet at the house complex. Charters Towers is a major rural community and has all shopping and medical facilities along with a number of well recognized primary and secondary schools. Cattle sales are held weekly in Charters Towers and Blackall, and every fortnight at Clermont. In a location with an average rainfall of approximately 20 inches and located in a tick free area allowing movement of cattle to the South and West. The property would certainly lend itself to a breeding operation and would also be suitable to finish females.
The property is fenced into 10 main paddocks, with numerous mustering squares and holding paddocks, and has a lane to the northwest of the yards that services 4 paddocks in close proximity. “Ronlow Park” is watered by 13 dams, 2 bores, and seasonal creeks. There is scope to increase carrying capacity by utilizing and spreading water further. The current carrying capacity is approximately 1,500 head of cows.
The cattle yards are located at the front of the property and have a vet crush, calf race and cradle and a six-way draft, accompanied by a very large cooler. The yards are of timber and steel construction and in good usable condition with Road Train access.
The 2 cottages at “Ronlow Park” are of timber and brick construction and would benefit from renovation. Power to the cottages and the workshop is supplied by 12KW off grid solar system. There is a large workshop (16×26 meters) with some bays concreated.
“Ronlow Park” has been stocked conservatively allowing for good ground cover, and the spread of improved pastures such as Urochloa, Buffel Grass and Seca Stylo.
