GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 18TH MARCH 2026
Following the cancellation of last week’s sale due to wet weather, numbers rebounded at the Gracemere Saleyards with a yarding of 2,540 head. The offering consisted of 1,009 steers, 1,061 heifers, 328 cows, 55 mickey bulls, 23 bulls and 64 cows and calves. Despite last week’s wet weather disruption, the market remained very strong across all categories. A large line of feeder weight heifers attracted strong interest from southern buyers, creating solid competition throughout the sale. Young steers were highly sought after by restockers, reflecting continued confidence in the store market. Overall, quality cattle drew strong bidding, with buyers actively competing to secure suitable lines across both restocker and feeder categories.
