WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 13TH OCTOBER 2026

Total Yarding: 703 (-352)

The useful falls of rain across the local supply area and the forecast of more this week reduced the supply of stock at Warwick to 703 head. The yarding was very mixed with only a handful of well bred restocker lines which sold to dearer trends with the balance being plainer types. Well finished trade and processor lines sold to improved prices.

Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 402c to 574c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed sold from 490c to 530c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed gained 36c and sold from 486c to 526c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background sold from 388c to 528c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold from 438c to 493c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold from 420c to 456c/kg.

Grown steers to process sold from 432c to 474c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 400c to 470c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers gained 24c and sold from 263c to 384c with those to processors at 300c to 357c/kg. Good heavy score 3 and 4 cows to processors improved by 2c and sold from 354c to 384c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers sold from 388c to 490c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 414c to 480c/kg.
