INVERELL CATTLE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2025

Inverell penned 1,683 mixed cattle, with an extra 1,126 head added to the offering. The regular buyers attended to a mostly dearer market and included two extra cow buyers. Light steers to background gained 30c/kg to sell 350c to 422c/kg however similar weight feeders lost 18c/kg making 320c to 410c/kg. A big offering of medium feeders were much dearer 268c to 398c/kg with heavy feeders also dearer 332c to 344c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to process sold to 315c/kg. Light background heifers gained 13c/kg and similar weights considerably dearer 300c to 342c/kg. Medium feeders sold to positive trends up 22c/kg and selling 290c to 350c/kg. Heavy feeders gained 7c/kg. Grown heifers up to 34c/kg better and topped at 332c/kg. Restocker cows to 252c/kg. Cow weights increased with heavy cows 8c to 19c/kg dearer and selling to 309c/kg. Heavy bulls also improved up to 6c/kg selling to 316c/kg.
