The upcoming Easter break and the following short weeks reduced numbers at Warwick to 907 lambs and 556 grown sheep. The regular export processors were present however not all operated. The usual butchers and wholesalers attended along with extra restockers which kept the prices for trade weight lambs firm, also restocker lambs sold to spirited competition. Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from $54 to $98/head, with those over 16kg at $98 to $110/head. Older lambs in the 16-20kg range to feeder buyers sold from $116 to $133/head. Butcher weight lambs sold from $133 to $180/head. Trade lambs in the 22-24kg range sold from $176 to $218. Heavy crossbred lambs to processors sold from $214 to $229/head. Crossbred and dorper hoggets to processors sold from $116 to $171/head. Light weight ewes to processors sold from $30 to $54 with the heavy ewes at $60 to $110/head. Heavy wethers sold to $112/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $100 to $122/head. Rams to processors sold from $55 to $99/head.
