DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH JUNE 2025
Combined agents yarded a total of 5,326 head for the weekly sale. This saw a reduction in numbers by 239 head on last week’s sale. Southern export operators competed strongly for the heavier cows and bullocks. The normal buying panel were in attendance and active on the lighter cattle. Heavy prime cows sold to 340c/kg, to average 315c/kg. Lighter cows sold in a range from 202-312c/kg, averaging 270c/kg. Heavy bulls topped at 344c/kg to average 308c/kg. Light bulls sold to 340c/kg. Heavy heifers to feed improved, selling from 276-363c/kg to average 330c/kg. Bullocks improved on last sale, selling to 393c/kg, to average 374c/kg. Heavy feeder steers remained firm, selling to 393c/kg, to average 374c/kg. Heavy feeder steers remained firm, selling from 355-434c/kg to average 380c/kg. Trade-weight feeder steers eased, selling from 372-448c/kg, averaging 408c/kg. Trade-weight feeder heifers also weakened, selling from 268-364c/kg to average 307c/kg. Weaner steers sold to 448c/kg to average 404c/kg. Weaner heifers averaged 292c/kg topping at 352c/kg. Cows and calves this week sold to $1,700.
