CHARTERS TOWERS STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – FRIDAY 4TH JULY 2025
Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 4,750 Store Cattle. Cattle consisted of 1,907 Steers. 1,138 Mickeys, 1,674 Heifers, 10 Cows and 21 Cows & Calves.
Cattle comprised of a great lineup of quality weaners with a small selection of heavy feeder cattle on offer. The yarding was drawn from Normanton, Richmond, Camooweal, Hughenden, as well as local and coastal areas.
Store Quotes: Store cattle were made up of some larger consignments of lightweight weaner cattle, offering buyers the opportunity to purchase quality pens of Crossbred and Brahman weaners.

- A quality pen of 17 heifers on A/C Mt Douglas Pastoral Co, “Mt Douglas”, Clermont topped the heifer section at 302c/kg, weighing 314kg, returning $947 per head.
- 16 cows & calves sold on A/C LT & CP Curley, “Sutherland Holding”, Georgetown and returned $1,225 per unit.
