WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 30TH JULY 2025
Total Yarding: 1,903 (+236) | Sheep Yarding: 793 (+485) | Lamb Yarding: 1,110 (-249)
The return to fine weather resulted in Warwick agent penning 1,110 lambs and 793 grown sheep. The return to a full panel of processors resulted in all lambs and mutton selling to dearer trends of $4 to $28/head and more in places. Young lambs to restockers also sold to very strong competition.
Young lambs in the 12-18kg range to restockers sold from $100 to $150/head. Young lambs in the 16-20kg range to the local butcher trade sold from $140 to $181/head. Light weight older lambs to restockers sold from $136 to $146/head. Lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $170 to $255/head. Lambs in the 22-26kg range to processors sold from $193 to $285/head. Heavy lambs to processors sold from $271 to $337/head.
Hoggets sold to dearer trends at $170 to $245/head. Light weight merino ewes to processors sold to $146, with the heavy ewes at $158 to $236/head. Merino wethers to restockers sold from $121 to $125, with those to processors at $132 to $196/head. Heavy crossbred and dorper wethers to processors sold from $198 to $288/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $134 to $250/head. Rams to processors sold from $136 to $161/head.
