DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 30TH JULY 2025

Combined agents this week yarded a total of 6,261 head for the weekly sale. This saw numbers drop by 257 head on last week’s sale. Southern operators were in attendance along with the normal buying panel. Heavy prime cows sold to 384c/kg, to average 361c/kg. Lighter cows sold in a range from 160-201c/kg, averaging 180c/kg. Heavy bulls topped at 344c/kg to average 322c/kg. Light bulls sold to 394c/kg. Heavy heifers to feed gained on last sale, selling from 286-432c/kg to average 384c/kg. Bullocks gained on last sale, selling to 405c/kg, to average 388c/kg. Heavy feeder steers gained on last week, selling from 370-480c/kg to average 413c/kg. Trade weight feeder steers strengthened, selling from 376-474c/kg, averaging 422c/kg. Trade weight feeder heifers dropped on last week selling from 300-388c/kg to average 345c/kg. Weaner steers sold to 510c/kg to average 437c/kg. Weaner heifers averaged 327c/kg topping at 348c/kg.
