EMERALD CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – THURSDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER 2025
Emerald combined agents yarded 2,722 head in their weekly Prime and Store sale. Cattle were drawn from all local areas including a few lines from away. The cattle presented well with good lines of prime cattle on offer. The fat market held firm and improved in the averages for the Bulls, Bullocks and Cows over 520kg. Bulls over 600kg sold to 376c/kg to average 322c/kg. Bullocks over 500kg sold to 432c/kg to average 398c/kg. Cows over 520kg sold to 384c/kg to average 359c/kg. Fat Heifers sold to 412c/kg to average 385c/kg. Store cattle presented a mix of quality, with the better lines selling to a strong market. Feeder Steers 400kg+ sold to 456c/kg to average 372c/kg. Weaner Steers sold to 482c/kg. Feeder Heifers sold to 394c/kg to average 340c/kg, with Weaner Heifers selling to 396c/kg to average 320c/kg. Cows and Calves sold to $1,220.
