WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 17TH SEPTEMBER 2025
Total Yarding: 1,102 (-1,160) | Sheep Yarding: 374 (-662) | Lamb Yarding: 728 (-498)
The supply of stock at Warwick reduced to 1,102 lambs and 374 grown sheep. The regular buyers attended however with the reduced numbers not all operated. The market remained close to last week for most lines, with the lambs suited to the wholesale meat trade selling to dearer trends.
Light weight young lambs to restockers sold from $114 to $142/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to the butcher trade sold from $157 to $206, with those over 18kg at $200 to $242/head. Older lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $130 to $260/head. Lambs in the 18-20kg range to feed sold to $162/head. Lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $248 to $290/head. Heavy lambs to processors sold from $250 to $324/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $130 to $220/head. Light weight ewes to restockers sold from $60 to $124, with those to processors at $136 to $222/head. Wethers to processors sold from $158 to $236/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $144 to $190/head.
