WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 23RD SEPTEMBER 2025

The supply of stock at Warwick reduced to 962 head. All the regular buyers attended and operated on a dearer market for the grown steers and cows, which were 23c to 37c/kg dearer. The yearling cattle penned varied in quality, which was reflected in the prices received for the restocker and feeder lines.

Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold to 558c, with those over 280kg selling to 546c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 490c to average 446c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed made 454c to average 447c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background averaged 378c and sold to 410c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made 404c to average 371c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to feed sold to 386c with those to the wholesale meat trade at 436c to average 417c/kg.

Grown steers to processors made 427c to average 419c/kg. Grown heifers to processors average 402c and sold to 412c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to processors made 355c to average 321c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors made 369c to average 356c/kg. Good heavy cows topped at 418c to average from 380c to 399c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers made 364c to average 355c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors made 394c to average 376c/kg.
