WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2025
Total Yarding: 1,252
Warwick agents penned 1,252 head of very mixed quality yearlings and cows, plus a quality run of young bullocks. All the usual processors were present and operating, along with feeder buyers and a small panel of restockers. Yearling steers to restockers sold to firm prices however those to feed sold to dearer trends. Well finished bullocks sold to dearer prices with cows back from 15c to 30c/kg.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to background made 522c to average 476c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to feed sold to 476c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 495c to average 467c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold to 470c and averaged from 457c to 459c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to background sold to 400c and averaged 373c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold to 403c, with those to the wholesale meat trade at 450c to average 421c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to feed made 440c to average 384c/kg.
Grown steers in the 500-600kg range to processors sold to 488c, with those over 600kg at 447c to average 434c/kg. Grown heifers to processors made 413c to average 401c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to processors made 308c to average 288c/kg. Good heavy score 3 cows to processors made 373c, with the best heavy cows at 410c to average 383c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers made 398c to average 396c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors made 405c to average 376c/kg.
