CHARTERS TOWERS STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – FRIDAY 24TH OCTOBER 2025
Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 3,511 Store cattle consisting of 1,361 Steers, 469 Mickeys, 1,662 Heifers and 19 Cows & Calves.
Cattle comprised with a large run of Northern Steers & Heifers with a portion of quality Brahman & Crossbred cattle throughout the yard, selling to strong competition & rates. The yarding was drawn from Cape York, Chillagoe, Burketown, Julia Creek & Hughenden as well as local and coastal areas.

- A run of 222 Steers on A/c Fleetwood topped 418¢/kg, to average 416¢/kg and weigh 203kg to return $847 per head.
- A pen of 11 Brahman X Steers A/c Robert Dore, Murray Upper sold to 368¢/kg to average 305kg and return $1,124 per head.
- A good pen of 9 Heifers on A/c M & A McAuliffe made 360¢/kg to weigh 314kg and returned $1,133 per head.
- A pen of 8 Brahman Heifers A/c EJ & MC Callcott, “Mount Flagstone”, Woodstock sold for 344¢/kg to weigh 360kg and return $1,239 per head.
- 9 x 9 Cows & Calves sold on A/c Geoffrey Brown returned $1,650 per unit.
