About Huron Park Simmentals
Huron Park Black Simmentals is located 25kms East of Injune and is owned by Justin and Clare Humphreys.
We initially started using Black Simmental Bulls over Brangus Cows to produce flat backed weaners. The Black Simmental influence achieved everything that we had hoped for – consistent lines of black coated great weight for age cattle with market acceptance.
Huron Park Stud commenced with a purchase of 60 Cows from Strathleigh Black Simmentals at Attunga and the top selling Black Simmental Bull for 2019 Powerhouse Riddler. Our aim is to produce industry focused bulls concentrating on fertility temperament and weight for age, conformation – particularly leg structure “The Bulls have got to be able to cover ground”.
Huron Park have recently transitioned to be solely focused on bull breeding and have in the last 12 months acquired females from Woonallee and Southern Black Simmentals and industry leading genetics from Bill Cornell at St Pauls Black Simmentals together with the best Black Simmental Sires available in the US and Canada through our AI programs.
Herd sires include:
- Round Em Up Powerhouse Riddler – Top selling Black Simmental Bull 2019. An exceptional bull with so much bone and capacity. He has produced some outstanding daughters.
- Woonallee Siren – He was the lead off 2year old Bulls at the 2022 Woonallee Sale. He is a prolific breeder, low birth sire and putting a nice stamp on his calves – moderate framed with great length and depth of body.
- St Pauls Ulhan – Top priced Bull of St Pauls 2024 sale by Gibbs Essential who is the leading Black Simmental Bull in the breed by progeny registered. He is an absolute superstar of phenotype and data. His Dam is M412, the two time most prolific Cow in the breed.
So please give our bulls a go, they are acclimated to Queensland conditions and are set up for long working lives.
