WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 27TH JANUARY 2026

Total Yarding: 1,651

The supply of stock remained unchanged at Warwick with agents penning 1,651. All the regular processors and feeder buyers were present and active along with local restockers. Bullocks to processors eased by 9c/kg to 12c/kg with cows remaining firm on last week. Yearling steers and heifers to background sold to easier trends depending on type and quality with feeder lines firm.

Light weight yearling steers to background sold to 540c/kg. Yearling steers in the 280-330kg range to restockers sold to 550c/kg with those to feed at 536c/kg to average 487c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made 480c/kg to average 463c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed made 475c/kg to average 455c/kg with those to the wholesale meat trade at 483c/kg to average 458c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to background made 436c/kg to average 394c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made 430c/kg with those over 400kg at 450c/kg to average 415c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold to 472c/kg.

Bullocks to processors sold to 471c/kg and averaged from 447c/kg to 448c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold to 440c/kg and averaged from 388c/kg to 408c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to processors made 353c/kg to average 305c/kg. Heavy two score cows to processors made 366c/kg to average 351c/kg. Good heavy cows sold to 389c/kg and averaged from 371c/kg to 384c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers sold to 440c/kg and averaged 429c/g. Heavy bulls to processors averaged 396c/kg and sold to 411c/kg.
