DALBY CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 11TH FEBRUARY 2026

There was a small reduction of 218 head at Dalby this week, taking numbers to 5,886. The yarding included 1,135 cows and 309 bulls. Export buyer representation was not as strong as the previous week, with one major operator absent; however, regular feedlot, trade and restocker buyers remained active throughout the sale.

Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock received strong support, and feeder classes improved by 4c to 10c/kg. A similar trend was seen across the yearling heifer categories, with a number of classes recording dearer results. In contrast, heavy grown steers and bullocks eased by 20c/kg. Cows lost a further 8c to 10c/kg on top of the reductions experienced the previous week.

Light weight yearling steers to restockers made to 596c and averaged from 511c to 539c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made to 558c, with most sales ranging from 480c to 525c/kg. Heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 518c and averaged 480c/kg. Light weight yearling heifers to restockers made to 444c and averaged from 412c to 422c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed made to 460c and averaged from 401c to 402c/kg, while heavy weight yearling heifers to feed made to 452c and averaged 408c/kg. Bullocks made to 444c to average 433c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows averaged 333c and made to 346c/kg, while heavy weight 3 score cows averaged 363c, with the best cows averaging 374c and making to 388c/kg. Heavy weight bulls made to 400c/kg.
