WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 17TH MARCH 2026
Total Yarding: 2,403
The prolonged dry weather across the local supply area resulted in the penning of stock at Warwick increasing to 2,403 head of mixed quality and finished cattle. All the regular buyers attended and operated with prices remaining close to last week.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to background sold from 350c to 522c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to restockers sold to 510c with those to feed at 350c to 520c/kg. Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed sold to 500c and averaged from 472c to 477c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background sold from 328c to 430c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 280-300kg range to restockers sold to 426c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market made 448c to average 396c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold to 452c/kg.
Bullocks to processors sold to 462c and averaged from 452c to 455c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 390c to 422c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 220c to 324c with those to processors at 270c to 340c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors sold from 300c to 358c/kg. Good heavy score 3 and 4 cows sold from 353c to 392c/kg. Light weight bulls to feed sold from 380c to 428c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 370c to 420c/kg.
