CHARTERS TOWERS PRIME & STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 25TH MARCH 2026
Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 2,346 cattle consisting of 1,007 Prime Cattle & 1,339 Store Cattle. The Prime cattle consisted of 202 Bullocks, 230 Heifers, 530 Cows and 45 Bulls. The Store Cattle consisted of 718 Steers, 602 Heifers & 19 Cows & Calves.
Charters Towers Combined Agents penned a solid yard of heavy Bullocks, prime Heifers & well finished Cows, with minimal Bulls throughout the yard. Cattle presented well and met with strong competition with similar market trends that we are seeing throughout the state. The yarding was drawn from Mount Isa, Hughenden, Georgetown, Mount Garnet, as well as local and coastal areas

- Bullocks Topped at 376¢/kg for a pen of 13 Ox sold on a/c Fletchervale Pastoral Co that weighed 615kg to return to $2,315 per head.
- Best priced Trade Heifers were presented on a/c MSN Family Trust that sold for 368¢/kg and weighed 488kg return to $1,796 per head.
- The top pen of Cows were sold by IM Grazing, Lochlea for 328¢/kg weighing 553kg to return $1,815 per head.
- Bulls sold on a/c Fletchervale Pastoral Co, topped at 326¢/kg and weighed 820kg to return $2,675 per head.
Store Quotes: Store Cattle consisted of good quality pens of backgrounder weight articles and selected pens of quality fresh Weaners. Limited heavy feeder weight Steers and Heifers were offered for competition.
