WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 8TH APRIL 2026
Total Yarding: 2,870 (+784) | Sheep Yarding: 1,690 (+416) | Lamb Yarding: 1,180 (+368)
The continuing dry weather across the usual supply area increased numbers at Warwick to 1,180 lambs and 1,690 grown sheep. One processor absent from the buying panel resulted in most mutton selling to easier trends however young lambs to restockers and feeder buyers sold to dearer rates with trade lambs firm on last week.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $101 to $130/head. Young lambs over 16kg to restockers sold from $132 to $169 with those to feed at $145 to $186/head. Older lambs in the 18-22kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $174 to $262/head. Lambs to processors sold from $238 to $308 with the best heavy lambs at $324/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $160 to $244/head. Merino ewes with skin to restockers sold from $120 to $139/head. Merino ewes to processors sold from $130 to $180/head. Dorper and crossbred ewes to processors sold from $130 to $250/head. Merino wethers to processors sold from $120 to $210 with crossbred wethers at $186 to $214/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $130 to $200/head. Meat rams sold from $142 to $180/head.
