WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 29TH APRIL 2026

Total Yarding: 2,699 (-402) | Sheep Yarding: 1,278 (+91) | Lamb Yarding: 1,421 (-493)

The continuing dry weather resulted in agents at Warwick penning 1,421 lambs and 1,278 grown sheep. All the regular buyers attended and operated with young lambs to restockers selling to dearer trends of $4 to $22/head. Lambs to suit the butcher trade also sold to improved prices of $8 to $12/head with heavy lambs firm. Hoggets and heavy mutton sold to easier trends however the light mutton sold to strong competition from the processors.

Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $88 to $135/head with butchers paying from $90 to $172/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $81 to $169/head. Older lambs to the butcher trade sold from $160 to $216/head. Lambs to processors sold from $179 to $269 with the best heavy lambs at $280/head.

Hoggets to processors sold from $120 to $235/head. Merino ewes to restockers sold from $60 to $120/head. Dorper and crossbred ewes to processors sold from $130 to $217/head. Merino wethers to processors made $198 with crossbred wethers at $170 to $220/head. Ram lambs to butchers sold from $144 to $182/head. Meat rams sold from $140 to $170/head.
