The supply of stock remained unchanged at Warwick with agents penning 1,839 head. The export buying panel included an extra southern processor which resulted in the heavy prime bullocks and cows selling to dearer trends however the plain conditioned cows to restockers averaged 9c/kg cheaper.
Feeder and backgrounder yearling steers and heifers also improved in price with quality the major factor. Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 320c to 474c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold from 380c to 464c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold from 380c to 448c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 380c to 442c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background sold from 240c to 360c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold from 283c to 354c/kg. Heavy yearling heifers to feed sold from 328c to 370c/kg. Grown steers to processors sold to 430c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 366c to 390c/kg.
Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 128c to 285c with those to processors at 216c to 285c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows improved by 9c and sold from 250c to 285c/kg. Good heavy cows to processors gained 3c and sold from 278c to 330c/kg. Light weight bulls to restockers sold from 284c to 386c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 330c to 392c/kg.
