WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY 2026
Total Yarding: 2,544 (-155) | Sheep Yarding: 1,276 (-2) | Lamb Yarding: 1,268 (-153)
Warwick agents penned 1,268 lambs and 1,276 grown sheep. All the regular buyers attended and operated. An increased yarding of plain young lambs sold to easier trends. Trade weight lambs in short supply and sold from $10 to $26/head dearer. The grown sheep to processors also sold to improved rates.
Young lambs under 12kg to restockers sold from $41 to $64/head. Young lambs in the 12-16kg range sold from $60 to $154/head. Young lambs is the 16-18kg range to feeder buyers sold from $146 to $190/head. Older lambs in the 18-20kg range to the butcher trade sold from $180 to $216/head. Trade weight lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $221 to $288/head. Lambs to processors sold from $257 to $296 with the best lambs topping at $325/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $140 to $240/head. Light weight merino ewes to restockers sold from $70 to $119 with those to processors at $100 to $129/head. Dorper and crossbred ewes to processors sold from $130 to $272/head. Merino wethers to restockers sold from $112 to $135 with those to processors at $132 to $186/head. Cross bred wethers topped at $235/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $150 to $194/head. Meat rams sold from $160 to $198/head.
