WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 27TH MAY 2026

Total Yarding: 1,554 (+167) | Sheep Yarding: 630 (-83) | Lamb Yarding: 924 (+250)

The supply of stock at Warwick increased slightly to 924 lambs and 630 grown sheep. All the usual buyers attended however, with limited numbers of heavy lambs and mutton on offer not all processors operated. Extra numbers of trade lambs resulted in prices easing from the extreme rates of last week, but still sold to strong rates as did the restocker lines.

Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $122 to $159/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $140 to $173/head. Older lambs to the butcher trade sold from $180 to $240/head. Lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $200 to $287/head, with the best heavy lambs to processors at $323/head.

Hoggets to processors sold from $140 to $239/head. Merino ewes with skin to restockers sold from $137 to $156/head. Heavy crossbred ewes to processors sold to $223/head. Merino wethers with skin to restockers sold from $151 to $162/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $180 to $240/head. Meat rams sold from $163 to $200/head.
