CHARTERS TOWERS PRIME CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 3RD JUNE 2026
Charters Towers Combined Agents yarded a total of 2,437 Prime Cattle consisting of 576 Bullocks, 496 Heifers, 1,248 Cows & 120 Bulls.
Prime cattle comprised of a good run of meatworks Bullocks including a line of HGP treated grain fed Steers. A good number of Prime Heifers along with increased numbers of well finished meatworks Cows were also present. Weight and condition was favored by a southern processor who competed fiercely with out four regular operators.
The yarding was drawn from Richmond, Hughenden, Georgetown, Einasleigh as well as local and coastal areas.
Prime Quotes: Bullocks this week quoted 12c easier. Heifers were unchanged, Cows 5c easier & Bulls unchanged on last weeks sale.

- Bullocks topped the job at 422.2c/kg on A/c M&G Thomas, they averaged 624kg to return $2,634 per head.
- Processor Heifers saw a top this week of 394.2c/kg for a pen of Limousin Cross Heifers on A/c Bogunda Partnership, weighing 503kg to return $1,983 per head.
- Brahman Heifers on A/c AW Bode, “the Plains”, Prairie sold to a top of $380.2c/kg, to weigh 533kg to return $2,027 per head.
- PJ Hall topped the Cow market with a pen making 396.2c/kg, to average 585kg to return $2,317 per head.
- A pen of 19 Cows on A/c Euraba Pastoral Pty Ltd, “Inorunie”, Gilbert River sold for 390.2c/kg to weigh 515kg and returned $2,010 per head.
- Bulls presented on A/c L & K Pope topped at 370.2c/kg for an average of 654kg to return $2,421 per head.
