CHARTERS TOWERS STORE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – FRIDAY 12TH JUNE 2026
Charters Towers combined agents yarded a total of 1,876 Store Cattle. Consisting of 902 Steers, 750 Heifers, 191 Mickey Bulls, 33 Cows & Calves
Cattle numbers dropped compared to last Friday’s presentation. the quality of crossbred cattle decreased to realize a cheaper trend, however Brahman prices held firm on last weeks rates. Buyers preferences cattle weight and condition, lightweight cattle struggles to attract attention. Competition was good throughout the sale with all regular buyers in attendance.
The yarding was drawn from Cloncurry, Hughenden, Pentland, Croydon, Tully, Forsayth, Georgetown, Normanton, Greenvale, as well as local and coastal areas.

- Lowall Cross Woodstock topped the steers with a pen of crossbred steers averaging 506c/kg to weigh an average of 232kg and return $930/hd.
- Heifers topped at 376.2c/kg sold on A/c N & S Weinheimer, Toonpan, for an average weight of 366kg to return $1,379/hd.
- 6 X 6 Droughtmaster X cows & calves sold for C Black, Tully, for $1,775/hd.
