GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 17TH JUNE 2026
Gracemere combined agents sold an increased yarding of 3,217 head, consisting of 1,529 steers, 915 heifers, 557 cows, 129 mickey bulls, 51 bulls and 36 cows & calves.
Today saw a very firm market upon slaughter weight steers, with a large local consignment reaching strong competition. Slaughter weight females softened slightly. The feeder market remained firm upon last week, with quality feeder weight cattle reading dearer. Second rate backgrounders saw a strengthening in the market. Weaner steers slightly softened for lead pens of calves but overall strengthened with a lift in second rate types. Weaner heifers saw a large strengthening, with well covered Euro x heifers showing the strongest results.
