Total Yarding: 1,436 (+414) | Sheep Yarding: 673 (+417) | Lamb Yarding: 763 (-3)
The supply of stock at Warwick increased to 763 lambs and 673 grown sheep. The overall yarding contained excellent runs of well finished trade lambs which sold to dearer trends along with the heavy mutton. Young store lambs in short supply and received very strong competition from the restockers.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $120 to $148/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to the butcher trade sold from $170 to $183/head. Older lambs in the 18-20kg range to the butcher trade sold from $201 to $239/head. Lambs to the wholesale meat trade sold from $220 to $299/head. Lambs to processors sold from $256 to $331 with the best heavy lambs at $356/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $180 to $271/head. Light dorper ewes to restockers sold from $136 to $152/head. Heavy crossbred ewes to processors sold from $152 to $255/head. A large run of merino wethers to restockers sold from $154 to $176/head. Heavy wethers to processors sold from $211 to $250/head. Ram lambs to processors sold from $181 to $271/head. Meat rams sold from $154 to $190/head. Ewes and lambs to restockers sold to $314/unit.
