Gracemere combined agents sold a reduced yarding of 2,266 head, consisting of 1,124 steers, 636 heifers, 419 cows, 55 mickey bulls, 25 bulls and 7 cows & calves.

Yesterday’s fat market saw a softening on prices upon last week across all categories. Feeder steers saw a strengthening due to the presence of a southern buyer. Crossbred weaner steers also saw a significant strengthening. Feeder heifers softened due to lack of weight and quality, with Brahman heifers seeing the top of the market due to breeder support. Weaner heifers softened, but remained solid across the board due to backgrounder interest.
