Agents at Warwick penned 738 mixed quality cattle. All the regular buyers attended and operated on a very strong market for the better quality lines with the lesser quality cattle receiving limited competition.
Lightweight yearling steers to restockers sold to 618c/kg. Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 428c to 598c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold from 470c to 586c/kg. Medium and heavy weight yearling steers to feed sold from 470c to 521c/kg.
Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 374c to 530c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market sold from 425c to 486c with heavy yearling heifers to feed at 425c to 484c/kg. A small sample of grown steers to processors sold to 436c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 354c to 425c/kg.
Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 238c to 330c with those to processors at 250c to 359c/kg. Heavy score 3 cows to processors sold from 350c to 374c with the best heavy cows topping at 402c/kg.
Light weight bulls to restockers sold from 310c to 436c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 384c to 488c/kg.
