WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY 2026

Total Yarding: 1,360 (+316) | Sheep Yarding: 477 (+146) | Lamb Yarding: 883 (+170)

The supply of stock at Warwick increased by 316 head to 883 lambs and 477 mutton. An increase in trade weight lambs on offer resulted in prices easing from last weeks extreme rates by $19 to $40/head. Light weight young lambs to restockers sold to dearer trends  of $6 to $23/head along with lambs to feed selling to very strong competition.

Young lambs under 12kg to restockers sold from $159 to $176/head. Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $142 to $230/head. Young lambs over 16kg to the butcher trade sold from $188 to $222/head. Older lambs in the 16-20kg range to feeder operators sold from $197 to $222/head. Lambs to suit the wholesale meat trade sold from $225 to $263/head. Lambs to processors sold from $247 to $331 with the best heavy lambs at $375/head.

Hoggets to processors sold from $171 to $294/head. Light weight ewes to restockers sold from $140 to $188/head. Heavy ewes to processors sold from $190 to $290/head. Merino wethers to restockers sold to $194 with those to processors at $204 to $240/head. Crossbred wethers to processors sold from $220 to $270/head. Ram lambs to the butcher trade sold from $162 to $242/head. Meat rams to processors sold from $182 to $224/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $302/unit.
