Agents at Warwick penned 1,255 cattle a lift of 193 head. All the regular buyers attended and operated on a solid market that mirrored last week and any price variations in the yearling cattle were quality related.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 408c to 584c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold from 470c to 550c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed sold from 436c to 520c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 470c to 538c with those to the wholesale meat trade at 498c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to background gained 7c and sold from 386c to 502c/kg. Yearling heifers over 280kg to feed sold from 388c to 470c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed sold from 390c to 488c/kg up by 12c Heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold from 390c to 494c/kg.
Grown steers to processors sold from 452c to 475c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 400c to 450c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to processors sold from 256c to 366c/kg. Heavy score 2 cows to processors gained 7c and sold from 286c to 359c/kg. Heavy score 3 and 4 cows held firm and sold from 340c to 395c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 372c to 479c/kg.
