WARWICK CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – TUESDAY 4TH AUGUST 2026

The supply of stock at Warwick remained unchanged with 1,173 cattle penned. All the regular buyers attended and operated in a market that remained close to last week with backgrounder yearling steers easier however yearling heifers were least affected with feeder lines firm and any price variations across the yearling cattle being quality related.
Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 412c to 488c/kg. Yearling steers over 280kg to background sold from 428c to 514c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold firm at 438c to 528c/kg. Heavy yearling steers to feed sold from 462c to 540c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 200-280kg range to restockers sold from 396c to 480c/kg. Yearling heifers over 280kg to feed sold from 380c to 450c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to feed improved by 7c and sold from 402c to 520c/kg. An increased supply of heavy yearling heifers to the wholesale meat trade sold from 400c to 488c/kg.
Grown steers to processors sold from 438c to 470c/kg. Grown heifers to processors sold from 380c to 470c/kg. Light weight plain conditioned cows to restockers sold from 206c to 354c/kg. With those to processors at 274c to 348c/kg. Good heavy cows sold to firm prices at 340c to 396c/kg.
Light weight bulls to restockers sold from 390c to 428c/kg. Heavy bulls to processors sold from 373c to 476c/kg.
