WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST 2026
Total Yarding: 1,603 (+43) | Sheep Yarding: 639 (+2) | Lamb Yarding: 964 (+41)
Warwick agents penned a similar sized yarding of 964 lambs and 639 grown sheep. Not all the regular processors and store buyers attended which resulted in trade lambs selling to easier trends of $29 to $50/head with store lambs cheaper by $17/head. Hoggets sold to dearer rates of $15/head with the mutton lines also selling to easier trends up to $45/head.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $92 to $130/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to restockers sold from $156 to $170/head. Older lambs in the 18-24kg range to the butcher trade sold from $155 to $261/head. Lambs in the 24-30kg range to the wholesale meat trade sold from $210 to $284 with the best heavy lambs at $300/head.
Hoggets to processors sold from $198 to $230/head. Very light weight merino ewes to restockers sold to $69 with those to processors at $60 to $70/head. Heavy dorper and crossbred ewes to processors sold from $180 to $201/head. Light weight merino wethers to processors sold from $56 to $124 with heavy wethers topping at $190/head.
Ram lambs to processors sold from $160 to $202/head. Meat rams sold from $154 to $178/head. Ewes and lambs sold to $296/unit.
