GRACEMERE CATTLE SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 26TH AUGUST 2026
Gracemere combined agents sold a reduced yarding of 3,343 head, consisting of 1,767 steers, 842 heifers, 406 cows, 180 mickey bulls, 71 bulls and 72 cows & calves.
This week’s fat sale remained firm upon last week, with second rate fat cattle strengthening. The feeder steer market increased in value, with mouthed 4 tooth steers meeting last weeks market high. Backgrounder weight steers strengthened, where quality was observed. A lack of feeder weigh heifers was apparent, although soft Euro type backgrounding heifers met high values. Weaner cattle strengthened across the board, directly relating to quality.
