WARWICK SHEEP SALE MARKET REPORT – WEDNESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER 2026
Total Yarding: 603 (-787) | Sheep Yarding: 196 (-210) | Lamb Yarding: 407 (-577)
A big reduction in numbers at Warwick with agents penning 407 lambs and 196 grown sheep. The yarding was very mixed in quality and finish with plainer store lambs back to the paddock easier by $18/head however sucker lambs to the butcher trade were up by $4/head. Trade weight lambs were firm with those to processors up by $9/head. Hoggets to processors easier however heavy ewes to processors were $13/head dearer.
Young lambs in the 12-16kg range to restockers sold from $100 to $139/head. Young lambs in the 16-18kg range to the butcher trade sold from $147 to $175/head. Older lambs in the 18-22kg range to feed sold from $148 to $220/head. Lambs to suit the butcher trade sold from $180 to $256/head. Lambs in the 24-26kg range to processors sold from $264 to $288 with heavy lambs topping at $324/head.
Hoggets to processors easier and sold from $181 to $233/head. Light weight ewes to restockers sold from $110 to $132 with heavy ewes to processors at $170 to $277/head. Ram lambs to feed sold from $90 to $160 with those to processors at $180/head. Meat rams sold from $141 to $184/head. Ewes and lambs topped at $325/unit.
